Frydman travaille la couleur, la lumière et la matière.
Ornements sinueux et figures veloutées traversent ses toiles
telles des chorégraphies de couleur et de lumière. Son travail se déploie entre prédéterminisme et hasard, entre couleur pensée et « prise en main » de la couleur. Par un rapport tactile à la matière et grâce à la maîtrise d’une technique expérimentée, naît de son œuvre la texture elle-même. La surface devient un organe sensible, une peau réactive échappant au primat de la ligne sur la couleur. Gloria Friedmann construit son œuvre protéiforme comme autant de protocoles d’expériences. Elle délimite des champs d’actions, définit des paramètres et des variables, tout en se gardant de proposer des solutions. Elle met en scène les rapports qu’entretient l’espèce humaine avec son écosystème et interroge l’évolution de l’humanité avec ses doutes et ses errances. Deux femmes, deux personnalités, deux univers, deux sensibilités, une rencontre inopinée. Pour célébrer les 20 ans de la galerie Sollertis, Monique Frydman a choisi d’inviter Gloria Friedmann. Avec enthousiasme et complicité, l’une et l’autre nous livrent un dialogue productif, un projet basé sur l’échange, une exposition inattendue. Monique Frydman works on the colour, the light and the material. Sinuous ornaments and velvety figures cross her canvas as colour and light choreography. Her work unfurls between determinism and chance, between though colour and « hold hand » colour. By a tactile relationship with the material, and thantksfull to an experienced technic perfectly managed, the texture itself was born from her work. The surface becomes a sensitive organ, a reactive skin escapes from the line primacy on the colour. Gloria Friedman build her protean work as many protocols of experiences. She delimits action field, defines parameters and variables, without suggesting solutions. She directs the relationship between human being and his ecosystem, and she questions the human being evolution with his doubts and his wandering. Two women, two personalities, two universes, two sensitivities, an unexpected meeting. In order to celebrate the 20 years old of Sollertis gallery, Monique Frydman invited Gloria Friedmann. With enthusiasm and complicity, ‘the one and the other’ introduce us a productive dialogue, a project based on exchange, an unexpected exhibition. |
